Gamzigrad - Romuliana
The archaeological site Gamzigrad – Romuliana, Palace of Galerius is located in eastern Serbia. This complex consists of a group of residential buildings enclosed with a double fortification system and a memorial complex on the nearby hill. It was built between 297 and 311 AD, according to the ideological program of the Roman Emperor Galerius, the Diocletian’s successor and a representative of the Tetrarchy ruling system.
Archaeological site Gamzigrad – Romuliana, was inscribed in UNESCO World Heritage List in 2007.
